What's Shakin' America?

I hope all is well with everyone.  I wish all was well with me, but it is not.  I am very disturbed.  Why?  I'm sure your first guess would be the election, but you guessed wrong. It's not who won or who lost, not what will happen in the future, but what has happened to the American public. 

In the last few weeks I have been called every name in the book.  Why, because I have an opinion.  I have never and willl never call anyone a name because of their opinion.  I don't get it.  A few weeks ago I posted a video stating why I would not vote for Obama.  I never called anyone a name, never talked about their sister, just stated my reasoning.  I don't think anyone even watched it all the way through, or maybe not at all.  They just started posting their trashy comments.  The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that the internet has created a generation that hides behind the keyboard.  I challenged all the people with negative comments to say those things to my face and they all went silent.  I'm not a violent person, I don't fly off the handle quickly, I'm easy to get along with most of the time.  I will say this though, anyone that knows me really well, knows better than to fuck with me.  I don't get mad, I get even.  For example, you steal a dollar from me, I will steal 10 from you.  You cut off my finger, I will cut off both of your hands.  Just for clarification, I don't cut peoples hands off, I don't steal, those are just figures of speech.  Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked on my message here.

Now here is the part where I state my opinions.  If you want to disagree, disagree, that's fine with me.  You are entitled to your opinion, but so am I.  I believe that the problems we have today are directly related to how children have been raised for the last 20+ years.  The kids now run the household, the schools, everything.  They are never wrong.  Everyone is afraid to tell them no.  I think the first time they pop off to their parents or any other adult they should be subject to some wall-to-wall consuling.  The discipline needs to start at home.  Now let's talk about school.  First of all it is not the teachers fault if all kids do not pass.   Why does everyone need to pass?  It's a fact of nature that some people are more intelligent than others.  Deal with it.  Parents need to keep their asses away from the school and let the teachers do what they are supposed to do, teach.  And if you are helping your kids with their homework, you are part of the problem.  They need to do it and be held responsible.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving the school systems a free ride on this, they are part of the problem as well.  School testing is the worst thing ever.  I think we need to go back to teaching the basics.  Kids today have trouble doing basic math, they have a very limited understanding on how government works, and I'm not sure they even teach science anymore.

Ok, so enough of that, I think you get my point.  The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow.  It's time to straighten up and do the right things.  It's an easy thing to do, but we need to start today.  In closing, I hope that everyone will stop and think before they start talking, especially when they do not have the correct information.

It's Been A While....

Well it's been a while since I've sat here and went on a rant, so I would like to take this opportunity to get a few things off my chest.  

Here is a list of things that are currently pissing me off today!

1.  Call waiting -  Who the fuck invented that shit?  Nothing pisses me off more than talking to someone only to hear the "beep" and the following words...." sorry, i have to take this call"  OR "can i call you back in a few?"  So if I'm ever on the phone with you and you get another call, you better stay on the line with me.   There are really only 2 emergencies that are acceptable to get out of a conversation, if someone has killed your child, or if your house is burning down.  Anything else can all be taken care of after we hang up the phone.

2.  Bud Light Lime -  Why is it that I cannot find it in a 12 pack.  Not that it is my number one beer, but I do like the way it tastes.  I can find it in 6 packs all day long.  Oh and I have found it in 12 packs, but it was HOT.  When I want a beer , I want a beer, and I don't drink a few, when I drink beer I DRINK BEER, usually until it is all gone.

3.  Advance Wrinkle Free Downy -  What the fuck happened to it?  After I discovered it I wanted to go find the guy that invented it and kick his ass for not inventing it earlier.  That stuff rocks.  You can leave your clothes in the dryer for a month ( not that I even leave my in for more than 10 minutes after they are dry ) and they still don't wrinkle.  If anybody knows where to get it, let me know.  I'm gonna buy all of it.

4.  People that think they know more than me -  If I ever tell you something, it's a fucking fact.  Try to prove me wrong, you will see.  Don't argue with me, just listen to the wisdom flow out of my mouth.  If you decide not to listen to me, it's all kewl, you will get to see that big grin on my face as you're telling me all about your troubles, telling me how you wished you had listened to me, and you could have sworn your way was the way the to go.

5.  Recycling -  Ok, it's not that I am opposed to it, but you have to admit it is a pain the ass.  For instance, this piece of paper is ok, but this one is not.  Not this plastic bag, but this one is ok.  Here's what pisses me off about it.  If you want to know what really infuriates me, it's the fact that we do all the work and the trash people get all the money.  I say fuck them, let them separate the shit if they are getting the money.

I'm sure there are more, but I'm so spun up right now I can't even think straight.

Exxon Mobil

Ok, You probably think that I am going to bash Exxon-Mobil, actually I am going to defend them. 

Let's start with the so-called record profits.  I will agree, the total dollar volume is a record.  Big deal!  For Q1 of 2008 they have made a whopping 9.3% net profit.  Compare that to Apple, Inc.'s 14% for the same period, or how about Google's 25% profit.  Isn't a company allowed to make a profit?  Isn't this The United States Of America?

I am so pissed off at everyone who blames high fuel prices on the oil companies.  Do you want to know who is to blame for the high prices?  YOU ARE!  YES, YOU!  In case you attended a public learning institution, here is how it works, the more demand for a product, the higher the price goes, when demand decreases and supplies increase, the prices goes down.  Since oil is in high demand worldwide, the price will continue to spike until it reaches a point where no one is purchasing it anymore, so until that point in time fuel prices will remain high.  So deal with it, quit your bitching, quit pointing the finger at the oil companies, quit blaming it on the President, sit back, relax, have a coke and a smile.  It's all going to be ok. 

Oh, while I have your attention, let me also mention that it is not Exxon-Mobil, nor any other oil companies JOB to find alternative renewable energy sources.  They are oil companies, they buy, sell, and refine oil.  I don't hear anyone hammering any other company to invent a product that will put themselves out of business, do you?  Doesn't make much sense.

Photofacial

I had my first photofacial laser treatment yesterday.  If you've never had a laser treatment and are thinking about it, it's not that bad.  I was a bit paranoid about the pain, but it's really not as bad as you would think.  I'll keep ya posted, only 4 more to go!
